Procedures for Special City Council Meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2020
In response to the Governor’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency and ban on large public gatherings, the Special City Council meeting on Wednesday, September 16 at 3:00 p.m. will be held via Zoom video conference. The Special Meeting will address the 2019 Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO) Annual Update. Members of the public will have the ability to view the meeting through GOVTV on Comcast Channel 16, or to stream live on the GOVTV website at https://www.cabq.gov/culturalservices/govtv, or on YouTube at https://youtu.be/LuYAK5R966U. The GOVTV live stream can be accessed at these addresses from most smartphones, tablets, or computers. The video recording of this and all past meetings of the City Council will also remain available for viewing at any time on the City’s website. Council Staff is available to help members of the public access pre-recorded Council meetings on-line at any time during normal business hours. Please call 768-3100 for assistance. The agenda for the special meeting is posted on the City Council website at https://cabq.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx.
The Council will take general public comment and comment on the meeting’s specific agenda items in verbal and written form via this link https://www.cabq.gov/council/find-your-councilor/public-comments through 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 16. The Council will take general public comment on any topic, including agenda items, from up to a maximum of 20 people, on a first-come first-serve basis. To provide real time verbal public comment over Zoom, participants must sign up for public comment at the link above. Written comments will be distributed to all Councilors for review in advance of the meeting.

National Voter Registration Day Coming Up!
On Tuesday, September 22, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort to register voters well in advance of Election Day this November. The Bernalillo County Clerk's Office encourages everyone to make sure they are registered and that their registration is up to date. There will be four locations open across Albuquerque between 10:00 a..m. and 2:00 p.m. that day to get folks registered, to update voter registration information, and to share other election and voting information:

Bernalillo County’s National Voter Registration Day activities are being conducted in compliance with the N.M. Public Health Emergency Order to mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19. Social distancing, hand hygiene and cleanliness protocols shall be followed by staff and Voter Registration Agents and everyone will be required to wear a mask or face covering. Contact the Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office at 505-243-VOTE (8683) or by email at: clerk@bernco.gov.

 

Hazard Mitigation Survey Asks for Community Feedback to Prepare for Possible Disasters
The City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County, in collaboration with the Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority (AMAFCA), the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, the Village of Tijeras, the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD), and the Albuquerque/Benalillo County Water Utility Authority (ABCWUA) is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan, in an effort to be better prepared in the event of natural, or human-caused disasters and want your input. Please take this short, five-question survey online and share your thoughts about how our community can better prepare for hazards before they occur. Responses will be taken until September 30. Globalquerque Celebrating Cross-Cultural Crossover Online This Year
Globalquerque, an annual cross-cultural, multi-day concert, will be held virtually this year and you're invited!
