Special Procedures for June 21, 2021 City Council Meeting
In response to the ongoing Public Health Emergency, the City Council Meeting on Monday, June 21 at 3:00 p.m. will be held via Zoom video conference. Members of the public will have the ability to view the meeting through GOVTV on Comcast Channel 16, or to stream live on the GOVTV website at https://www.cabq.gov/culturalservices/govtv, or on YouTube at https://youtu.be/b7HMpSLRrOQ. The GOVTV live stream can be accessed at these addresses from most smartphones, tablets, or computers.  
The video recording of this and all past meetings of the City Council will also remain available for viewing at any time on the City’s website.  Council Staff is available to help members of the public access pre-recorded Council meetings on-line at any time during normal business hours. Please call 505-768-3100 for assistance. The agenda for the meeting is available at: https://cabq.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx.

 

Public Meeting on Proposed Rail Trail Encourages Resident Feedback
The public is invited to attend and share their thoughts on the proposed multi-modal trail that will link Downtown to the Rail Yards. District 5 Summer Virtual Open House Hosted by City Councilor Cynthia D. Borrego This Tuesday

City Councilor Cynthia Borrego will host the online District 5 Summer Open House this Tuesday, June 22 at 5:30 p.m. Topics of discussion include: public safety and a discussion with the Albuquerque Police Department, Albuquerque Fire Rescue and the Office of Emergency Management; and road safety studies regarding several roadways in D5. Coffee with a Cop Hosted by Northwest Area Command Encourages Public to Attend

You are invited to come out and meet the officers of the Northwest Area Command this Tuesday, June 22 at 9:00 a.m., at Starbucks, 3410 NM Hwy 528, north of Lowe's. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, enjoy a good cup of joe, and talk to your police officers! The Lavender Libros literacy initiative continues this week with Sylvia Maser, CEO of Global Give a Book, Inc. Ms. Maser will read her favorite children's book on Wednesday, June 23. Lavender Libros is an online literacy program that encourages our children in Albuquerque to read as often as possible. Valley Area Command CPC Meeting This Thursday, June 24

It's an excellent opportunity to be part of helping develop policy and procedure for the Albuquerque Police Department (APD). This week, the Valley Area Command CPC will meet on Thursday, June 24 at 6:00 p.m.and the public is invited and encouraged to attend. Public Input Meeting on Tom Bolack Urban Forest Park with City Councilor Diane Gibson this Thursday 
The public is invited to attend an in-person public input meeting on the Tom Bolack Urban Forest Park next Tuesday, June 29 at 6:00 p.m., at the park, located at 2000 Dakota NE. Please bring a chair or blanket for seating, and wear comfortable walking shoes. There will be a presentation, a Q&A session, and opportunities for attendees to offer feedback. Neighborhood Alley Clean-Up Seeking Volunteers
A group of neighborhood folks are initiating a Take Back the Alleys Clean-Up in the Downtown area and are seeking volunteers! The alleyway cleanup takes place Saturday, June 26 at 9:00 a.m. at the Kress Building, 416 SW. Trash bags, brooms and gloves will be provided.
