Another sure way to invite them over?  Have an arbor, laden with grapes.  Masked marauders.

Don’t get me started on raccoons! They’re cute as heck but very destructive if they decide your home is their next AirBnB stay. I’ve dealt with them (humanely) for years. Only by completely stripping my tile roof did we find and secure their entry point to my attic. Our Jack Russell’s were never more unhappy when they heard the rustling above them. Barbecuing salmon is the surest way to invite them over to your place for the evening.

Having lived in Nob Hill for more than thirty years and having read with interest the various raccoon posts, but never having seen one of the critters, I can now say that that I am convinced they exist in our community.  Two of them wandered down my driveway at about 11:00 PM tonight.  They did not seem particularly concern at my presnece.
