Good afternoon,

The 2021 Twinkle Light Parade is coming to your neighborhood on
Saturday, December 4. This free, family-friendly holiday event brings
the sparkle to a mile-long stretch of Central Ave. This procession in
Nob Hill will roll west from Washington St. to Girard Blvd. starting at
5:15 p.m. The parade is comprised of local business, organizations,
school groups, and families, all competing for Best in Show. Bring the
family to celebrate and enjoy this City tradition.

Route Details

        * Street closures:

        * 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. - Silver Ave. will be closed between San Mateo
Blvd. and Washington St.
        * 3 - 10 p.m. - Central Ave. will be closed from Washington St. to
Girard Blvd.
        * 4 - 7:30 p.m. (as soon as parade is through) - Washington St. will be
closed between Central Ave. and Copper Ave.
        * 4 - 7:30 p.m. (as soon as parade is through) - Central Ave. will be
closed between San Mateo Blvd. and Washington St.
        * 4 - 9 p.m. - Girard Blvd. will be closed between Central Ave. and
Campus Blvd.

        * 4 - 9 p.m. - Monte Vista will be closed between Girard Blvd. and
Dartmouth Dr.

        * Businesses will remain accessible.

        * At 5:15 p.m., the parade will head west on Central Ave. from
Washington St. to Girard Blvd. on the north side of the street
(westbound lanes).
        * The parade will scoot from Silver Ave. to Central Ave. on Monroe St.
at 4 p.m.
        * The parade will turn right (north) on Girard Blvd. to disband between
Central Ave. and Campus Blvd.
        * The parade will conclude by 9 p.m.
        * Central Ave. will remain closed until 10 p.m. After the parade, the
cleaners and street sweepers will go through to clean the area and then
the streets will open.

Businesses:

Vehicles will not be allowed onto Central Ave. beginning at 3 p.m.
including business deliveries (towing and removal of vehicles will start
at 3 p.m.). Please let your customers know that they have access to your
business from the surrounding streets and/or by foot. We encourage all
businesses located along the parade route to take advantage of the high
volume of traffic through special promotions, sales and decorations.

Neighborhoods:

All streets surrounding the event area will be open as usual. Please be
aware that there will be increased traffic in the area during the event.
Residents on Girard Blvd. between Central Ave. and Campus Blvd. will
have access to/from their houses by pass only between 4-9 p.m.

Event Parking:

Parking will be available in existing Nob Hill public parking lots and
on side streets. A free Park & Ride will be offered from University
Blvd. and Lomas Blvd. to Johnson Field.

Public Restrooms:

Public restrooms will be located throughout the event area on Central
Ave. and Adams St., Aliso Dr., Hermosa Dr., Bryn Mawr Dr., and Dartmouth
Dr.
