-Sunday, Feb. 20, 2 pm-Sharmin Dharas, owner of the former University Lodge, is reimagining and remodeling the property as a boutique hotel, Hotel Zazz. She invites the community for a behind the scenes preview. She will offer a tour at 2 pm to acquaint the community with the new hotel and share the concepts of its design. Small bites and refreshments will be provided along with live entertainment. All are welcome.

-Saturday, Feb.26 Nob Hill will receive 100 free fifteen gallon trees from ABQ Neighborwoods/Tree NM with support from Councilor Pat Davis. All 100 trees have been adopted thanks to our Tree Canopy Restoration Committee’s awesome volunteers. They will be planted by volunteers from Tree NM and Dakota Tree Project. Kudos to Marc and Pamela Weese Powell of Dakota Tree Project, our committee chairs.

-Last Friday, Feb. 11, NM Historic Preservation Division listed Nob Hill’s 1925 Granada Heights and 1947 Broadmoor Addition as historic districts in the NM Register of Cultural Places. This makes contributing houses in the districts eligible for NM 50% tax credits for renovation and eligible to display NM Register plaques. Details will appear in Spring Nob Hill Neighborhood Newsletter.
