Friends and Neighbors,
Neighbor Dennis Webber highlighted this for me telling me about neighbors who plan to clean an alley between Girard and Dartmouth NE on April 9 and haul the trash to Phil Chacon Park in SE Albuquerque.
It bears getting out to the neighbors list in case others might be inspired to form a group for your block or alley on that day.
There is still time to sign up before the deadline next Wednesday. Forms are attached.
Please reply to all with questions or ideas.

Subject: One week left to register for SE cleanup!
Solid Waste Management Department and Keep Albuquerque Beautiful will be hosting the 2nd Annual One Albuquerque Cleanup Month in April – in honor of Earth Month. Over four consecutive Saturdays, we’ll be splitting the City into quadrants and giving each one its own day. Those who register will receive free garbage bags and gloves. There will also be special t-shirts for volunteers, while supplies last. Solid Waste will have crews stationed at a park during each Saturday cleanup which will serve as the area’s central trash drop-off location. If residents need help finding a place to clean, we’ll have maps of nearby parks and trails for them at the central location. You can register or learn more at www.cabq.gov/cleanup
Last year thanks to our 732 volunteers in all four quadrants, we were able to collect more than 47 tons of trash, litter, and illegal dumping throughout Albuquerque.
Attached are the registration forms for each quadrant of the City that list deadlines and supply pickup dates. Please complete and return the registration form for the quadrant of your choice or all quadrants.
Thank you for keeping Albuquerque beautiful!!!
