I oppose a liquor establishment at 3619 Copper. I live on the 400
Block of Amherst NE. I believe an establishment as contemplated is not appropriate in this residential area. I drove by the site this afternoon and there’s a lot of construction at that location. Has an application already been approved?

Regarding the liquor license application for 3619 Copper Ave. Back in August of 2021 the business owner hired Consensus Planning and they held a meeting(s) with NHNA for the Conditional Use Approval for this property. This was required because a tap house is not permissive in the MX-T zoning for the property. I believe the Conditional Use was approved by the city. At that time the NHNA generated a letter documenting the agreements between the neighbors and the business for items of concern like amplified music, parking, etc.
Would it be appropriate to send this letter to the liquor license board stating that it is expected that the terms will be adhered to?

Just wondering how many bars and restaurants this makes in Nob Hill. I sure wish we had that many brick and mortar retail stores owned by locals. I miss those days ?

We are attaching calls for service to APD for High and Dry Brewing, 529 Adams St NE
At 5 pm on April 13 NHNA will evaluate input received. When input is neutral or positive we generally don?t develop an association position which results in approval. If input suggests strong concerns or directors have strong concerns we will call a special meeting and alert the community through our email list.
Areas of concern sometimes form around expected impact on community safety and quality of life and factors including but not limited to calls for APD service at applicant's existing operations and security plans. Locations near Residential Zone Districts (IDO 14-16-2-3) can be problematic, particularly if affected neighbors oppose. Hours of service and services offered are not generally part of the hearing officer?s consideration, but may affect the association?s position. Naturally, neighbor input is crucial.
We will notify the email list, the liquor hearing officer, and the applicant of the association?s action.
All members of the community are free to provide written comments to the hearing officer or attend the CABQ hearing in a personal capacity.
