What's "sad" are your expectations. If you really want to support "local" pick it up yourself. You say you're a Nob Hill resident, then I can't imagine why you can't drive or walk a few blocks and help your "favorite" restaurants out. OMG! You're blaming Fan Tang for another business's bad service. As a business owner, you should know better. You're blaming the wrong employees!

Fan Tang has been my favorite restaurant in Nob Hill since it opened.  My store was right next to it and even since we closed and Covid hit I have been ordering from them for delivery. Today I ordered for a total of $29. My order never arrived. The driver from Selflane picked it up and never came. I called Fan Tang twice. The first time an employee told me it wasn’t their problem and hung up on me. I called back to speak to the manager. She also told me it wasn’t their problem. She told me they would do nothing to compensate me. She never apologized. She told me that the owner was not available for two weeks . Basically it was my problem and my loss. Having been a Nob Hill business owner for 30 years I am extremely disappointed in the quality of customer service that they offer. I found it rude disrespectful and unforgivable. I would never have allowed my employees to treat a customer in such a manner. I recommend they get their act together  and learn what customer service and respect is. If not for us there would be no Fan Tang and the employees would not have jobs. Very sad.
