Interesting thread.  We walked to and dined in at Fan Tang this evening.  I ordered Garlic Broccoli with chicken.  The dish I received had at most 2 pieces of broccoli and an abundance of green peppers, which I loathe, and other vegetables.  I complained, and they quickly replaced it with lots of broccoli and no green peppers, but I wondered why they called it that, if there was so little broccoli in it.  Next time I will know not to make assumptions based on what's listed on the menu.  It was good, once they got it right.

Before you condemn a person for not walking or driving to pick up food, you might consider that there are people who are homebound and cannot drive or walk to pick up food, and who depend on delivery services. Fan Tang might consider better employee problem solving skills if they want to maintain their customer base. The last time I ordered from them, I walked to pick up the food, only to have a FORTY MINUTE wait before my food was actually brought to me.

Fan Tang has been my favorite restaurant in Nob Hill since it opened.  My store was right next to it and even since we closed and Covid hit I have been ordering from them for delivery. Today I ordered for a total of $29. My order never arrived. The driver from Selflane picked it up and never came. I called Fan Tang twice. The first time an employee told me it wasn’t their problem and hung up on me. I called back to speak to the manager. She also told me it wasn’t their problem. She told me they would do nothing to compensate me. She never apologized. She told me that the owner was not available for two weeks . Basically it was my problem and my loss. Having been a Nob Hill business owner for 30 years I am extremely disappointed in the quality of customer service that they offer. I found it rude disrespectful and unforgivable. I would never have allowed my employees to treat a customer in such a manner. I recommend they get their act together  and learn what customer service and respect is. If not for us there would be no Fan Tang and the employees would not have jobs. Very sad.
