Special Procedures for City Council Meeting on Monday, August 1, 2022


In response to the recent increase in COVID cases, the City Council Meeting on Monday, August 1, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. will be held via Zoom video conference. Members of the public will have the ability to view the meeting through GOVTV on Comcast Channel 16, or to stream live on the GOVTV website at https://www.cabq.gov/culturalservices/govtv, or on YouTube at https://youtu.be/_JWWciGLOLU. The GOVTV live stream can be accessed at these addresses from most smartphones, tablets, or computers. The video recording of this and all past meetings of the City Council will also remain available for viewing at any time on the City’s website. Council Staff is available to help members of the public access pre-recorded Council meetings on-line at any time during normal business hours. Please call 505-768-3100 for assistance. The agenda for the meeting is posted on the City Council website at:https://cabq.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. The Council will take general public comment and comment on the meeting’s specific agenda items. In order to help increase the Tree Canopy in Albuquerque's urban area, the Water Authority offers the Treebate to offset part of the cost of planting a new low or medium water usage tree and to help cover the costs of tree maintenance. Get 25% rebate off the purchase and installation of eligible trees, professional tree care, new irrigation systems for existing or newly plated trees, compost, and bulk organic mulch. City Roundabout Project Public Meeting Upcoming for Del Webb Mirehaven and Stormcloud Neighborhoods


Changes are coming to the Del Webb residents in the Mirehaven and Stormcloud neighborhoods! The City of Albuquerque will be constructing a roundabout at the intersection of Mirehaven Parkway and Tierra Pintada Boulevard. The goals of the project are to reduce speeding through the neighborhood and improve safety for both drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. The City is hosting an online public input meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, August 10 at 6:00 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. Students Heading Back to School So Keep An Eye Out!


Back to school is nearly here! Albuquerque Public Schools starts Wednesday, August 10, UNM starts Monday, August 22 and CNM starts on Monday, August 29. With so many students out and about, it's important to keep an eye out for kids getting on and off school buses and crossing busy streets, slow down when driving in school zones, and remember there will be extra traffic around all schools, including UNM and CNM campuses. Help everyone get back to school safely!
