Hello neighbors,

NHNA is working alongside the University Heights Neighborhood Association (UHA) and The Lead/Coal Safety Brigade (LCBS) to collaborate on an action plan to address speeding and accidents on Lead and Coal. We are hopeful that a neighbor who lives on or near Lead or Coal would be interested in working with our Public Safety Committee to be the lead representative for NHNA in this working group.

There was a professional Road Safety Audit on Lead and Coal that will soon release specific recommendations for how to improve safety. NHNA, UHA, and LCBS are engaging the City now, with hopes that our three organizations can select the most achievable and impactful recommendations and advocate for them together.

You would not be alone in representing NHNA, and the commitment would only be two or three meetings/calls at this point. You would have support from the entire Public Safety Committee in discussions, decisions, and attending meetings when possible. This would give you the opportunity to engage other organizations, as well as the Mayor's office and other public servants on how they can best serve Nob HIll.

If you are interested in joining us in this capacity, please email me directly at r.mark.nelson@gmail.com.

Sincerely,
Mark
