The Albuquerque City Council  voted last Apri 5 o allow cannabis consumption lounges. The prohibition on consumption in public doesn’t apply, as the wording indicates, to private spaces, such as businesses with consumption lounges.

The limitations of cannabis business were set up for a reason.  I do not think adding more in the Nob Hill area is a good idea.

In particular, their request is for a "conditional use to operate an on-site cannabis consumption area on the premises of a licensed and permitted cannabis retail establishment." (This is from their application, attached.) In the correspondence to set up the meeting, the city states:  "The applicant is requesting a conditional use to allow cannabis retail within 600 feet of another cannabis retail." We hope to clarify these statements at the meeting.
