I had a great experience with Tech West. They replaced my many years old tar and gravel roof and did a wonderful job. I do not have the receipt for the cost but it seemed reasonable to me.

The greatest benefit at my house was a reduction in heat gain in the summer. My old  roof had very little insulation, and because the foam roof has so little mass, it doesn't hold the heat nor radiate it into my house in the evenings. My house is at least  5 degrees cooler as a result of putting the foam roof on.

I have been very happy with it. It's now about 10 years old.

Does anyone have any experience converting a flat roof that's tar-and-gravel to spray foam?

I would like to hear about it: who you used, were they good, what did it cost per square foot, how do you like the end result, etc. I'm buying a house with a tar-and-gravel flat roof and wondering what my options are to make it last. Getting some extra insulation would be a nice bonus.

Or if you looked into a spray foam roof and didn't go that route, why not?

e.g. something like this: https://www.techwestfoam.com

Thanks!
