Who are we talking about?
Or is it not okay to say?
In one spot, it's implied that a current city councilor works for the cannabis industry, in the next it's stated that that individual is no longer on city council.
And that same city councilor, now gone thankfully, was the deciding vote on the A.R.T. project which I would say started a decline of our main street.Bob

Seems having a city councilor whose works for the cannabis industry has its drawbacks.

A balanced business mix is imperative for a healthy district. Approving any all cannabis operations shows a disregard for the futureand current value of Nob Hill. Take a look at North 4th between Menaul and Candelaria for an example of too many cannabis shops.Recently, several of our neighborhood businesses spoke up about the City allowing 3 cannabis operations being approved on one block on Central. Improper application procedures were brought to light, permits for two denied. Neighborhood resident and business participation is the only way the keep our district a desirable place to live and shop!Jean Bernstein

Subj: Retail Cannabis Stores in Nob Hill at 3636 Monte Vista Blvd NE and 629 Amherst Dr. NE
Dear Mayor Keller,
Several residents have asked us to reach out to verify that the cannabis retail stores above are in compliance with the IDO.
3636 Monte Vista Blvd NE was submitted to Planning by the Verdes Foundation on 11/12/2022 and approved.
629 Amherst Dr. NE was submitted to Planning by Lemon Cannabis Co on 5/16/2023.
The stores look to be closer than 600 ft. apart which would require conditional use approval under IDO 4-3(D)(35)(c).
One or both may be within 300 ft. of a child day care facility at 613 Amherst Dr. which would violate IDO 4-3(D)(35)(d).
Thank you for looking into these questions.
Kind regards,
Gary Eyster, President of the Board
