We are currently enforcing on the property. Code has tried on numerous occasions to get in contact with the owner/tenant with no luck. Our Notice for Civil Penalties has been sent and we are waiting for a hearing to get scheduled. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you

We were honored to have you at our neighborhood meeting last night.

Several of the 40 neighbors present told me how much they appreciated you and Laura and Darrel giving us of your time and expertise.

Can you advise how we would plug in with code enforcement on a blighted house?

The neighbor says they have used 311 but to no avail.

I want to call your attention to the property at 320 Aliso Dr. NE 87108. This property has been reported to 311 as being in horrible condition. It appears abandoned. There are three broken down vehicles in the yard. The house is not livable. The trees are dead. The house has not been lived in since the owner passed away many years ago.  Her name was Dorothy Royal Betts. Her son is John Betts. He lives elsewhere. He has not lived in the property nor taken care of it.  

At one point many years ago, her other son had built pipe bombs there. The city had to come and deal with that issue.

I have hesitated giving my name as John Betts  knows who I am. I live at 400 Aliso Dr. NE.

The property, as it is, devalues the neighborhood.  Perhaps you, as the Association can get the city to do something about it.  Please do not use my name in reporting this property. I fear retaliation from the now present owner.
