Hello Fellow NM RPCVs,

Last year my wife Rebecca and I created a program to help fund emerging New Mexico documentary filmmakers. In January we funded 4 projects that are soon to be completed.  As you see in the poster below screenings are now scheduled for July 14 at the Guild in Abq and August 7 at the Jean Cocteau in Santa Fe.  Here are the 4 film titles—all interesting topics.  

David C’de Baca: Alternate Transport Abq (how city planning affects communities within Albuquerque and New Mexico)

Dominic Fraire: Terria XO (the story of the search for identity and joy of a transgender person from Laguna Pueblo)

Gianna Peredina: Strings of Connection (the story of how a guitar store owner in Albuquerque has created a haven for musicians and creativity) 

Dylan Haworth:  Scar Upon the Earth. (the story of community resilience in the aftermath of the 2022 Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak fire)

Total run time will be about 75 minutes and there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers after the screening.
