The Lead/Coal Working Group consists of community members, various CABQ departments, and city councilors working to improve safety on Lead and Coal avenues. We have focused on the recommendations of a 2022 Road Safety Audit conducted by the Federal Highway Administration. For several of the most impactful recommendations the City of Albuquerque requires a traffic study, and that of the topic of this meeting. The Working Group continues to pursue and monitor progress on the rest of the recommendations.
