I don't know what ID park is either.  Frances, thank you for bringing up public toilets.  Public toilets benefit us all, not just the people who need them, by helping to keep our city clean.

I recently saw a news story about an outdoor toilet that can be used by those without a home. I’m hoping someone is familiar with them and perhaps share knowledge; I would like to recommend throwing that idea in the mix. I plan to attend Wed evening meeting, will see if I can find more information.

You are absolutely right, $1.5 million is a drop in the bucket compared to the City Capital budget of $175 million.  Wouldn’t it be great if Mayor would pledge some of that to this process!!!
 
Either way the plan is to take the projects to the legislature to get more capital dollars for PB so we can do more.

Sadly, $1.5 million will not go very far to accomplish any one of the great needs in District 6.  I'm still waiting for the CABQ Parks Dept. to mitigate the scar left by the naked retention pond adjacent to the International District Library.  $1.5 million may pay to accomplish half that, providing construction costs don't increase.  It's just so regretful.  Perhaps the City might replace a few dead trees in the District.
