Thank you, Antoinette, for replying so quickly to our inquiry around capital outlays this session.

You noted you’re eager to see the results of the Lead Coal Safety Study. Last week our association heard from the Lead Coal Safety Brigade about its recommendations. We will hold a community outreach event tomorrow (Tuesday) to present the options identified in the study to neighbors and get their feedback on preferred solutions. We will feed that into the picture very soon. We are grateful for capital outlays you have secured in the past. We will be incredibly appreciative of further results you and Marianna can get to solve that vexing, dangerous problem. Thank you, Nichole, for indicating that you have talked with Antoinette about a significant ask for that purpose.

Also on a safety note, LCS 4388 seeks $500,000 capital outlay for studies to improve traffic safety, pedestrian safety, and green storm water options around Lomas Blvd NE from Girard to San Pedro.

At our board meeting last week Adrian Anzaldua asked us to support that bill.

Community discussion was very supportive after which our board voted 6-0 to express a position of support.

Our only concern is we would not want this to draw funding away from Lead Coal which has been under consideration for such a long time and is so near to solution.

Please know how much we appreciate your support in addressing these ongoing challenges that are so central to community well-being.

Kind regards, Gary
