Friends and Neighbors,
I am forwarding this email from Councilor Rogers’ new policy analyst Ziarra Kirksey.
The attachment provides the schedule for upcoming community conversations with Nichole.
Note that it says the conversation that was scheduled for March 6 was cancelled because of a budget meeting.

Subject: District 6 Community Conversations
Hello everyone,
I have met a good majority of you, but for those who I have not, my name is Ziarra Kirksey, and I’m beyond excited to be a Policy Analyst for Councilor Rogers! As someone deeply committed to public service and community advocacy, this opportunity allows me to work alongside an incredible leader who truly listens to and fights for the people of District 6.
My passion has always been to uplift communities by ensuring that voices are heard, needs are met, and meaningful change occurs. In this role, I have examined policies that truly impact people’s lives, ranging from housing and public safety to economic development and community wellness. Councilor Rogers has been a dedicated advocate for many of these important policies and projects. This work relies heavily on your experiences and the voices of the community. You are all part of our 22 neighborhood associations, and your work is appreciated.
One of the most exciting aspects of this work is our monthly Community Conversations, where constituents come together to share ideas, concerns, and solutions. These gatherings aren’t just meetings; they’re a space where real, community-driven action begins. Councilor Rogers has been dedicated to ensuring that the work being done at City Hall reflects the needs and desires of the people we serve, and I’m honored to be part of that mission.
I can’t wait to connect with more of you, hear your stories, and work alongside you to build a stronger, more vibrant Albuquerque. Attached is our calendar for the year; there may be changes, but I have us all on a thread, and I would like your help spreading the word if any changes come up. Please feel free to send your invites for your meetings, and we will do our best to make at least one for the year! Councilor Rogers is a very busy Councilor (which is good), but it means she is not always available to do them all.
Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you!
