The 75th anniversary of Zia Elementary School was highlighted in one of our recent newsletters ~ and you may have seen some signs about it around the hood!

On Saturday, 5/3 there will be an epic celebration on the field for Zia's 75th anniversary. The celebration will include performances by: Ms. Hammel's class, Zia's Ukulele Club, Albuquerque High Mariachis, Jefferson Middle School Jazz Band, Albuquerque High Marching Band, and Conservation Carnivale. In addition, there will be activities with: Explora, the City's rock climbing wall, Esperanza, Zia Family Focus Center, Learner's Chess, the City's Libraries, a silent auction, a dunk tank, and MORE! Plus, a Zia Elementary alumnus will be doing LIVE screenprinting of some limited edition Zia Elementary designs. The event is FREE to attend and all are invited!
