I just installed a new ASA7112 (the big daddy) on my roof about a month ago (pic included). It cost $1350. However, PNM offers rebates. This model paid me back $400, bringing my total unit cost to $950. Your ASA51 brand new is $950 - with the rebate $550. PNM rebate link:

I hired a guy that had a boom forklift to lift it on the roof. He charged $500 just to get the unit from the ground onto the roof. Your asking price for a 5 year old used unit for $500 is a bit extreme, especially considering the buyer has to do the work to get it off the roof safely.

I think if you want any sort of progress toward a deal, your best bet is to offer the unit for free. You’re only saving someone $50 (post rebate) over a brand new unit which they don’t have to “uninstall” off someone’s roof, first. The labor and resources it takes to remove it off your roof will save you time and $$$ in the long run.
