Did not know it was a John Gaw Meem work. All the more importance.

Friends and Neighbors,
-The congregation of Immanuel Presbyterian Church has donated its campus to the state of NM. The state is now developing uses for the facility. Your association wants to weigh in with decision-makers. We plan a statement along these lines:
Our association is grateful that the congregation of Immanuel Presbyterian Church has donated this iconic place to the state of NM. We urge the state to devote the space to uses that support the cultural life of the neighboring community. We note that the building is a major work by John Gaw Meem and would be a proper place to educate people about his life and work, along the lines of the Georgia O’Keefe Museum. We note a dearth of performance space in the area and the fact that the sanctuary seats 500 and is known for its terrific acoustics. We note that arts and culture groups constantly need spaces for their work. We urge you to take advantage of this once-in-a generation opportunity to enhance the cultural life of our area and region.
