I’ve added remarks to calls, if there was anything of value.  There are 4-5 different businesses at the same address.  I’ve added the name of the business if it was provided by the caller.

·         Traffic stops are usually logged at the nearest numerical address or intersection.

·         Shot Spotter “guarantees its technology is accurate to within an 82 foot radius of the actual gunfire.”

·         Periodic Watch can be requested by an individual/business, initiated by an officer, or part of a tac plan – none of the listed indicated the origin.

·         Suspicious Activity is a more generalized category based on what the caller is saying, or if it has ‘onsite’ it is Officer initiated, sometimes comments are added, if it’s nothing, they are not.

·         Theft, Fraud, Embezzlement – another broad category regarding stealing or misuse or misappropriation of something

·         Medical Call – Ambulance

·         Loud Music – Tunes too loud

·         Fight in Progress – Typically physical fight

·         Aggravated Assault/Battery – An aggravated assault is attempting or threatening to injure someone while using a deadly weapon, concealing your identity or attempting to commit a felony/Aggravated Battery is unlawfully touching or applying force with intent to injure.

Updated calls for service are attached.

Sincerely,

So fast!! Thank you, Laura. Of course, it's hard to know which of these were associated with the Fiesta Azul Tequila House. I note There's the Curry House with the same address. Traffic Stop clearly no. Some hard to know. Ia there a "key"

Traffic Stop clearly no. Some hard to know.

Ia there a "key" to what the various codes mean? Or an assessment in general like:

Traffic Stop: out on the street, not at the place of business

Shot Spotter: could be within a 3oo ft radius of the address

Periodic Watch: initiated by an officer

Suspicious activity:

Distrurbance:

Audible Alarm: the burglar alarm sounded

Theft/fraud/embezzlment:

Medical Call:

Loud music:

Fight in Progress:

Aggravated Assault:

Subject: Application for Liquor License, Restaurant Type B, as an ancillary use to a Restaurant operation at 3105-3109 Central Ave NE

Nob Hill Friends and Neighbors,

Today your association received notification that the CABQ Liquor Hearing Officer is considering an application for Liquor License, Restaurant Type B, as an ancillary use to a Restaurant operation at 3105-3109 Central Ave NE.  (This is the former location of Oak and Ivy as well as Yanni’s.)

The Liquor Hearing Officer will hear the request on July 9, 2026 at 9 am via Zoom video conference. Written comments will be accepted by jlrobertson@cabq.gov until 72 hours before the hearing.

When your association learns of an application, we contact the applicant to gather information. We pass this to our email list to gather neighborhood input. If neighbors express questions or concerns we seek further information. We invite you to reply to all if you have a position on this request. You may reply to sender if you prefer. We have requested the following from the agent, NM Liquor Licenses, but are sending this to you now because of the short fuse.

-
Operator of the business: Fiesta Azul Tequila House IV, LLC

-Contact information: Kyla@nmliquorlicense.com

-Current and recent operations of any operator with alcohol service and period of operation: 6910 Montgomery Blvd NE

-Food menu:

-Hours of operation:

·Measures the applicant plans relative to security:

We have reached out to Laura Kuehn at APD for calls for service at an existing location of the applicant at 6910 Montgomery Blvd NE. We will provide that.

At 5:00 pm on July 5 your board of directors will evaluate community input.  Neighbor input is crucial. When input is neutral or positive we generally don’t develop an association position and the hearing officer grants the request. If input suggests strong concerns or directors have strong concerns, we would normally announce a special meeting to explore an association position. At such a meeting the board generally would consider the expected impact on community safety and quality of life and factors including but not limited to calls for police service at applicant's existing operations and security plans. In this case we have not been given time for that so your board will need to decide based on your replies to this email without a public meeting.

Hours of service and services offered are not generally part of the hearing officer’s consideration, but may affect the association’s position.

Locations near Residential Zone Districts (IDO 14-16-2-3) are problematic, particularly if affected neighbors oppose.

We will notify the email list, the liquor hearing officer, and the applicant of the association’s action.

All members of the community can contact the applicant and are welcome to provide written comments to the hearing officer or speak at the CABQ hearing in a personal capacity.
