Friends and Neighbors, Forwarding reply below from Rep. Marianna Anaya regarding uses for former Immaneul Presbyterian Church.
We're grateful to her and Sen. Antoinette Sedillo-Lopez for their involvement. If you agree with our statement to them (attached) please tell them.

On a different matter, please join our Ice Cream Social August 4. There will be lots of family activites! Check out the new playground. Here's our flyer!

Subject: Update on Presbyterian Church

Good morning Gary and Carolina,

Thank you both for writing about the future of the church. I hadn’t heard an update in awhile either so your email was a good reminder to follow up. I reached out to the Governor’s legal council, who was able to convey to me what she knows.

Apparently, in undertaking the potential responsibility of the building, the Board of Finance has heartache about accepting a building with so much debt attached to it. As you know, it’s about $10-$12M in repairs. From what I’ve gathered, there are currently still no plans for the building as it sits in a bit of limbo at the moment.

Board of Finance meetings are the third Tuesday of each month, although I don’t see a spot for public comment on their agendas.

I’ll keep you updated as I learn more! I’m copying Senator Sedillo Lopez as well as our DLA’s to keep everyone in the loop.

Hope everyone is taking care,
Marianna
