Dear Neighbors:

I would like to bring to the Neighborhood’s attention a hearing for a Special Exception Request regarding 4207 Marquette Ave. NE.  The hearing is October 20^th at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom. The request is for a “Major Zoning Permit – Tall Wall/Fence and Variance to Height for Wall/Fence.”  The file number is:  MZp-2026-00036/VA-2026-00139.

The owners of the property constructed what seems to be a six-foot concrete block wall which abuts the sidewalk,now painted a dark gray.  They appear to be seeking retroactive permission for this wall.

If you wish to comment at the hearing, the information about the Zoom hearing is posted on the yellow sign on the front of the property.  (I would write the information here; however, I do not want to risk making a mistake in the log in information.)

I am trying to find out how to submit comments in writing, as I won’t be able to attend.  So far, a phone call to City zoning has not been returned. If anyone knows how to do that, please share the information.
