[NMCCSC] Sunday trip to Jemez

Dana,

David Torney who lives near Los Griegos is reporting 12 inches of snow.

SNOTEL Quemazon site at 9500 feet west of Los Alamos is reporting 14 inches.

Yes, there is enough snow in the Jemez to ski. There is probably less than a foot at Redondo, but there should be enough to ski. Most of the trails are covered with grass and few rocks.

Sam

Sam, do you think the Jemez has enough snow now?
Thanks,
Dana

Hi all,

I am thinking of heading up to Jemez on Sunday. Beginner skier here so you can always do a bigger/harder loop and we can rendezvous later. I'm pretty flexible on time and place, but would like to try out Los Griegos / East Fork and maybe the caldera, time permitting.

Happy to carpool - car can fit 3 people max with skis.
