Hi Skiers,
Our planned presentation for the meeting last night was to be the National Weather Service prediction for the upcoming winter, but due to technical difficulties this was not possible to be done. Instead we had a great presentation by Sam Beard on aircraft crash sites in the Sandia Mountains, which was extremely interesting.

I do expect that we will be able to see the winter weather prediction presentation at some point, but in the meantime I did get at least a preview snapshot of what we can expect. Here is the summary on this.

The winter outlook in a nutshell:

Near to slightly below average snowfall north, below to well below average south. All indications are it will be a similar winter to 2016 in which northern NM and southern CO didn't do too bad with regard to snow.  Temperatures will be most likely above 30-yr climatological averages.
