Hello Skiers,

We will be removing down trees from the East Fork East Loop ski trail on Friday, Nov. 6. We are working on Friday, because there is a deer hunt Saturday through Wednesday.

We will park at Los Griegos Trailhead on NM-4 in the Jemez Mountains, cross the highway, hike on the Burn Trail, and follow the connector trail to the saddle at the west end of the East Loop. After hiking around the loop, we will hike to the west on the East Fork Ridge Trail to the junction with Mistletoe Canyon Trail. We will hike down a short segment of this trail and back to the vehicles. We will be leaving the mountains no later than 4 pm.

Meet at 8 am on the west side of the Target store at the intersection of Paseo del Norte and I-25 North.

Wear a long sleeve shirt and long pants and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a warm jacket, work gloves, eye and ear protection, and a hard hat. We will be using chain saws.

Also, bring a face mask.

Please let me know if you plan to go on this outing and if you need a hard hat.

Email me at samgbeard@msn.com, if you have questions.
