A scan of the introduction to an article in the New Your Times today is attached. I included one light and one dark version.

There were 8 photos, and the article over two pages.

The article described back country skiing (skinning up and descending with Alpine techniques) in the eastern and western states.

East – New H., New Y., and Vermont.

West – California, Colorado, Montana, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and Idaho.
