Where is Aspen Vista located? Nothing coming up in my search. 

I’m new to NM, and wanting to get into skiing, but since we cannot have outings for me to learn in the group, I may stick with snowshoeing just to get to know the area. 

Any suggestions on good snowshoe spots for this weekend would be great. Went to Santa Fe last weekend, but hoping for something closer. Is there enough snow on 10k trail??

The skiing conditions on the Aspen Vista Road today ranged from very good toI excellent. There was probably 4 or 5 inches of new snow from yesterday. As you would expect, the first mile had been skied, snowshoed and walked a lot though I did not encounter any rocks or other obstacles. After the first mile up until mile 4 where I turned around the conditions were excellent. I only saw 3 other people as I was going up and 6 or 7 on the way down.
