Next week, Kathi and I are repeating this week's trip to Wolf Creek. Ski the area on Tues and skin tour the pass on Wed. A couple of other club members have expressed interest. Everything will pretty much be the same, but the snow will be deeper and the temps will be much colder.

Subject: Wolf Creek Tues [Lift Ski Tele Clinic] & Wednesday [Lobo Overlook Skin Tour]

NMCCSC,

If anyone is going to Wolf Creek this Tuesday and/or Wednesday...

Tuesday - Kathi and I are skiing the ski area. If anybody wants to ski a run with us, or all day, intermediate level and above please, I'd be happy to offer an informal tele clinic during a run or two. Or we just ski powder! If you aren't aware, you will need to purchase a lift ticket before midnight Sunday [2-day advance ticket sales preferred or risk not getting a ticket the morning of]. Of course, you will have to abide by all the ski area COVID guidelines.

Wednesday - Not interested in riding chairs at the ski area? Then join us Wednesday, when we will be skinning up Lobo Overlook. This is a loosely planned trip, pending on how much snow, visibility and avy conditions. We will be skinning with avy beacons, shovels and probes. If you join us, please know how to use those avy tools. We will be seeking out safe powder to ski. We might drop down the pass, depends on the group and conditions, but we will at least lap the normal powder stashes on the Lobo side. Expect 1500-2500 feet of elevation gain and know how to ski powder. Please have a mask/buff/bandana around your neck to pull up when we encounter others and/or when we huddle-up. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to tour [light touring, kick-n-glide, gear] the low angle road up to the overlook and back. However, I will NOT be guiding that option.

IMPORTANT: Do not reply to this message. Once again, do not reply to this message. Instead text/call [per below] me to coordinate. I don't know what the specific rules in CO regarding mask wearing, but I will be wearing one when in close proximity to others and I expect you do the same if joining us. If our group size swells to much over 4-5 people, that is doubtful, we will have to break into smaller groups.

Let it snow,

Barry Ritchey
