Today we skied FR 376 and FR 604 in the Jemez.  We broke trail the whole time in 10 to 25” of fairly fluffy snow.  We skied there some yesterday and today could barely make out our track.  At times I had to kick three times to expose the tip of my ski while breaking trail.  The temperatures were in the 20’s. We left the road bed fairly soon to ski along the tree line.  The snow stays better in the shade of the mountainside. HWY 4 and HWY 126 have both been plowed.  The parking area that is 3.9 miles from the intersection of HWY 4 and HWY 126 was not plowed yet.  There is also parking on the north side of the road that is used to ski or snowshoe to San Antonio Hot Springs  and there were 4 cars parked there.  We saw only one person and he was happily skiing in on the track we had laid.
The last picture is my ruler on the table that had been cleared and dry before this storm.  It is around 10”.  It is snowing again.  Woo! Hoo!  Happy Trails.  Louise  and Tom Broadbent
