Tom and I skied about 6 miles on Fenton Hill Road (FR 144) and down part of Barley Canyon( FR 378) today. We ran into some rocks about a quarter mile down Barley Canyon and turned around. These roads allow motorized traffic but there had not been any there
for two weeks. We found a couple of thin spots but for the most part the snow cover was very good. The temperatures stayed low so there was no glide wax required.
When we went out, they had not plowed HWY 126 but it had been plowed when we drove home. There was about 5” of new snow. It was a beautiful day. Unless they get snowmobiles, it should be very good tomorrow as well. Louise and Tom Broadbent
