Hi!

FREE gear is FREE gear and my intention is to NOT rain on anybody’s parade BUT...

If you’re interests truly extend beyond an inexpensive/free set-up to access flat>rolling terrain on tracked trails and...into the thrilling (if not somewhat intimidating) domain of true backcountry skiing (i.e. skiing DOWNHILL on un-groomed slopes...)...

Do yourself a favor and...do not use gear like that pictured here! There’s a reason modern b/c gear is wider/heavier/stiffer/non-cambered/shaped etc. Time and experience have proven that it’s EASIER and therefore more ENJOYABLE to ski such gear.

Ok. Sorry. I’ll come down off of my soapbox now : )
