Randy & I went to Pagosa Springs for the New Year. There was a ton of snow when we arrived New Year's eve. It snowed that night & again New Year's day, at mid-day, & on into the evening. We discovered some areas we'd never skied before. Close to our hotel were the Nordic trails at Cloman Park. We skied there that morning . .  great gliding on fresh powder up & down hills, & around loops. Around noon we started up Wolf Creek Pass, getting within 2 miles of the ski area & had to turn back. We couldn't see the road in the blizzard conditions. All wasn't lost, as we ended up at East Fork Road, skiing past a couple dog sled teams with passengers. Mush! Another gorgeous trail! Today, on our way out of Pagosa, headed toward Chama, we turned down County Road 326 & stopped at FR 024, skiing up Left Hand Canyon, with a gentle glide back down. Beautiful place! So happy we're finally getting the "white stuff"!
