Today was a perfect day on Oak Flat, off 'South 14'(#366). Ponderosa Loop, 6miles, had excellent snow. I would think tomorrow would also be a good day. Roads are clear. Always helpful are a scraper, glidewax, and a GPS app such as GAIA. A current map of the area, 'Manzanita Mtns', can be printed from the Sandia Ranger District website- this also shows other fun trails in the Oak Flat area. The whole area is pretty, parklike; but low and susceptible to sun. My thought is, Hey, this could be it! Grab it while we can!
