Greetings Everyone,

This morning Jeff, Tim McDonald and I headed up to groom the SNSC trails.  We were pleasantly surprised to see that our friends at Sandia Peak Ski Area had run their snowcat up and down the service road a few times since this weekend's storm, packing the road well enough for us to get the Ginzu out and groom the Service Road, including setting classic tracks.  After we groomed the Service Road Jeff took the roller/compactor to the lower trails and made several passes on the rest of the course.  Things should set up nicely overnight.  We are planning on heading back up on Wednesday to roll and compact the lower trails again and Ginzu/set classic tracks on the Service Road.  If all goes well Wednesday, we may also be able to Ginzu the lower trails for skating and set classic tracks where the trails are wide enough.  We are also planning on heading back up on Friday to groom the entire course with the Ginzu so it is ready for the weekend. 

While we still have a couple of more years of earthwork to do during the warmer months ahead, I can report that the improvements that we were able to make this year look AWESOME.  Thanks again to all who helped with the Sandia Nordic Trails Improvement Project this year!
