Greetings, Skiers- Our Friends of Sandia Mtns (FOSM) friends, many of whom are our skiers, have been working extremely hard to open these trails that we enjoy. This is an unbelievable Survey report, augmenting Sam's 10k report just sent. Please read, and see the pics. This entails much equipment, and probably snowshoes, to accomplish for the public's use. Such good folks.
Thanks to you All- Bet Gendron

On Mon. Jan.17 the Mon. Trail Crew continued work on Survey Trail successfully clearing it all the way to the 10K junction. Two teams of 3 each formed with Team 1 snowshoeing to almost the 10k junction and then working our way back removing 9 trees ranging
in size from 5" to 17". Team 2, led by Dave McCreery, worked from the opposite direction removing 8 trees ranging in size from 3" to 19". The last tree of the day was a joint effort to remove the 19" tree and root ball. This was again a long day and an exceptional
effort by everyone using crosscut and pruning saws. Team1 included Dave Gable, Jamey Browing and Byron Garner and team 2 included Dave McCreery, Sim Cook and Cleve Sharp. Photo Credits: Team 1- Jamey Browning and Team 2 - Dave McCreery
