A group of us ventured out on the Windsor Trail near Ski Santa Fe today and the conditions were about as good as I have experienced on that trail. Except for someone who had snowshoed up to the wilderness boundary, we only saw one other person which resulted in the 5 of us having to break trail out to Puerto Nambe. While the temps did not get out of the teens, we had very little wind to contend with. The ski back to the trailhead could not have been more fun, including the last mile down from the wilderness boundary- only one exposed rock to contend with.
