Alan,
I've been watching and waiting to go there to snowkite. My fingers are crossed for this week too. The Hopewell Lake SNOTEL site will give you an idea of the snowpack. As of today, SNOTEL is showing ~41", after a high of ~56" two weeks ago. Of course, any south-facing or wind scoured slope this time of year will have less.
Snowforecast.com, and other models, show the area getting snow Tues-Wed of this week. The biggest risk for skiing the area is having US64 close for a few days after any big storm. However, the snow this week isn't forecasted to bury the area.

Are there any NMCCSC members in the Taos area? I'm wondering if a tour
out to Brazos cliffs overlook may be possible. I'm holding out some
hope, maybe with additional precip this week?
