Fellow snowgoers,

Here are a few photos that I took from NM4, as I drove back to Los Alamos on Friday. And some commentary.
IMG_3966.HEIC
Los Griegos Mountain from the NW. The east side is the fire scar from 2011. I think that there has been appreciable new fire damage. I think that most of the area that contains the trails we use are not visible here.

Trailhead for Los Griegos. No evident damage here.
IMG_3969.HEIC
Corral Cyn/Calzada Trailhead. I don't see much new damage here.
IMG_3971.HEIC
Looking SW at Coyote Call/Rabbit Ridge trailhead. Significant survival nearby. Not obvious from the photo, but I suspect that the top of Rabbit Ridge burned significantly.
IMG_3970.HEIC
Looking SE at Coyote Call/Rabbit Ridge trailhead. There are still some surviving trees, possibly along the lower leg of CC.
IMG_3972.HEIC
View of the east end of the CC loop from near a pullout there. I'm guessing that there was significant burning on the way up to the saddle.
Happy? Trails,
Mike Meier
