Stacey and I skinned up the ski area and it was mostly pretty good. Most of the way down i was able to stay close to trees (took the Cibola run and others down lower) so we found a little powder on top of the old stuff. Cibola had been groomed one fairly narrow strip. Sometimes you just had to deal with hard pack, crust etc. It was getting soft lower down. The green runs on skier’s far right end in a mud hole, the lodge & maintenance area is muddy.

I thought for sure I'd see lots of you up there today but I mostly had the trails to myself!

Conditions were still very good on trails in the trees above Ellis Service Road such as Gravel Pit, Upper Service Road and Switchback. Only a few short icy spots, very minimal compared to the rest of the trails.
