In a previous thread, some peeps didn't catch my sarcasm about the accuracy of NMRoads, and I do laugh about the magic snow drifts which ski areas measure, but I do believe most of the snow depth data collected by SNOTEL. Well, there is the one Taos Pueblo sensor which seems to always like reporting 193" of snow. Let's just disregard that one...
SNOTEL stations, as of Friday afternoon, March 17:
- Santa Fe = 63"
- Jemez [3 stations] = 16"-53"
- Hopewell Lake = 62"
- Cumbress = 102" [triple digits!]
- Taos = 74"
- Wolf Creek Pass = 124"
Of course these numbers will drop with settling and then increase over the next few days, as this current weather pattern should produce additional snow thru next Thursday.
Let it snow,
-Barry
