Fellow snowgoers,Some members asked for better directions - so here are some details. Here are Google Maps that may help. NM4 goes through the Jemez from San Ysidro to White Rock and the iris site is just east of the Valle Grande. The other images show the parking area and the iris site. There's a trail that goes from the northwestern corner of the Parking Lot to the pond that is shown in the 3rd image. We stayed west of the pond.Yesterday the flowers there were pretty fresh and there were a few that were just budding. I don't know how fast they fade. I GUESS they'll still be good this weekend.Attached are a couple of driving directions that I put together a few years ago for Jemez ski trails. I think they're accurate. The show driving mileages from two points in Santa Fe and Albuquerque respectively, as well as occasional mile markers on NM4.--Happy trails,Mike<Screenshot 2023-06-16 at 7.04.25 AM.png><Screenshot 2023-06-16 at 7.01.21 AM.png><Screenshot 2023-06-16 at 7.01.46 AM.png>Idiocy: Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
