Car trip to Pagosa, December 8-10

Some of you have heard either at our first NMCCSC meeting or through word of mouth that we will be sponsoring a car trip to beautiful Pagosa Springs. Well, I am here to tell you that it true and registration is opening soon. There will be choices for all ability levels groomed track skiing to backcountry and there will be an opportunity to practice your tele turns. Dana Price will be available to lead backcountry skinning and tele practice, and we will organize other tours and activities.  So, wax your skis, sharpen your edges and get ready to go.

The details:

Date: Friday, December 8^th to Sunday, December 10^th.

Where: The Quality Inn, Pagosa Springs (right across from the hot springs!)

Why: The Wolf Creek area always has the best early season snow! The hotel is within walking distance of great places to eat, shop and imbibe liquid refreshments. It is right next to the San Juan River and as mentioned right across from the hot springs. Finally, by New Mexico/Colorado standards, it is really close, less than four hours away.

Cost: The cost is $157 per person, double occupancy and $314 for a single. This cost is only for the room, and does not include the drive, food, and other incidentals. The Quality Inn does provide a free continental breakfast and we will be organizing a potluck for our après ski meeting Friday and Saturday.

How: Go to the NMCCSC website (https://ski.nmccskiclub.org/) and under the calendar tab go to the Pagosa car trip and pay.

When: Registration opens this Sunday November 5^th at noon.
