The Norski trail was a lot of fun today! Great coverage, soft snow, not icy... and I'd hate to jinx it, but... no snowshoe, post holing, or dog traffic marring the ski tracks. :) Happy holidays!

Subject: [NMCCSC] Dec 25-10K North and Challenge
I found skiing 10K going north from the 10K parking lot to be in great shape today. I would not recommend this section of trail unless you are a confident class 2 skier. It appears as if the trail has been rerouted to some extent so that
the challenging climb from Osha Loop up to Ellis can now be avoided. There is still a bit of a climb from Ellis up to Survey though I was able to do it today without kickers as there was plenty of new snow that had not been tracked.
If you have not skied the challenge trail in the last couple of years between Ellis and 10K I would give it a try. It was rerouted a couple of years ago and it is much more skier friendly and it is mostly in the trees.
Peter
