Wendy and I just arrived at the Ellis's parking lot. There is about six or 8 inches of heavy snow here and the parking lot is not plowed at all. We had difficulty getting up to the upper part and parked in the lower Ellis parking lot, but that was not easy even with our all-wheel-drive outback. Light snow is falling and the temp is about 28° and is probably rising. The road was quite variable with some Snow in places and slush or just wet road other places. it seemed better on the top section and that looked like it was plowed sometime.
There are a dozen or so cars here and conditions look pretty good with snow falling lightly to moderately.

Sandia ski area is reporting 8 in. in last 48hrs and 2 in. last 24 and counting… https://www.sandia.ski/snow-report and  20 in last 48 hr.  at Parajito,  woo hoo!

DOT road conditions site is not up right now,  they have been good getting it plowed to the ski area lately, beyond that hit and miss. Scott might get word from the DOT road crew.
