Fellow skiers,
My narcissistic self would love to go on and on, but briefly. Frances and I, motivated by shoveling 1" off the driveway, went to and skied part of the Upper Frijoles Loops. We got out at the crack of noon, and had first (and probably last) tracks on the red diamond trail (long lollipop). Last, because the two of us left many bare spots behind. Our snow was nice, but thin, and there were many scritches from buried debris. On a modest but rocky slope, I lost balance and, in recovering, stretched a hamstring. We pushed on for a while, but then bushwhacked over to FR284? and took the level roadside back to the parking area.
Unfortunately, we forgot to go over to Coyote Call, to check conditions for Sam and Michael's outing Sunday. Based on our experience,if Redondo looks good, stay!

Happy trails,
Mike and Frances Meier
