Snedeker, Chester, 87, of Old Tappan, NJ, formerly of Englewood, NJ and Bergenfield, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Chet is survived by his beloved son James and his partner Robert; daughter-in-law Heidi; son Jeff and his wife Lori; and his grandchildren Nathaniel, Hannah and Katie. Chester was a lifelong educator, starting his career as a math teacher at Dwight Morrow High School, Englewood, NJ; and later as a principal of River Dell High School, Oradell, NJ from which he retired. Chet was an outdoorsman and sportsman who also enjoyed traveling. In his retirement, Chet enjoyed antique/classic cars, gardening and experiencing the wonders of nature. He served as the Chairman and Co-Chairman of The Golden Age Club of Old Tappan, NJ. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years Jean, son Jon and long-time companion Dottie.
